IRRI

IRRI is a leading global educational and rice research organization, with extensive experience in implementing degree and non-degree programs in collaboration with its existing network composed of educational institutions that currently offers undergraduate and graduate degrees worldwide, government, non-government, and private institutions.

Established in 1960, IRRI’s mission is to reduce poverty and hunger, improve the health of rice farmers and consumers, and ensure environmental sustainability through collaborative research, partnerships, and the strengthening of national agricultural research and extension systems.

PHILFEFFARS

PHILFEFFARS was established in 2008 with the primary purpose of assisting Family Farm/Rural schools operating in the Philippines in promoting, expanding and optimally utilizing its human, financial and material resources towards accelerated operations, while adhering faithfully to the Family Farm School System.

In 1988, the first Family Farm School, the Dagatan Family Farm School (FFS) in Lipa City, Batangas, was established with a mission to provide the rural youth opportunities to pursue higher education, develop work and technical skills, form right values and habits, and develop entrepreneurial skills, allowing them to live in dignity, capable of embarking on a project in order to improve their lives and the situation of their families and communities.

Today, there are 11 FFS and 4 Farm Business Schools operating in the country, under the guidance of PHILFEFFARS, which has extensive experience and an existing network with farms, cooperatives, and agri-related enterprises nationwide that currently offers secondary and post-secondary education, as well as short courses and mentoring to update technical knowledge and skills of professionals in agri-entrepreneurship.
